gracefully beautiful

(sunglasses Ray Ban & Alexander Wang for Linda Farrow, sweater Balenciaga, pants Zara, clutch Fendi, shoes Alexander Wang)

Katy is uniquely beautiful and graceful lady whose vibe made me feel in Milan just like at home. I was so lucky to have her with me during Fashion Week. She helped me with all the routes and quick must see places. You won't believe it, but she's Georgian as well. Another proof of the beauty of Georgian women.

Katy has just started a blog. Let's take a look at Katy on a Hot Tin Roof.

She smells Jo Malone Vanilla & Anise, listens to Soulsavers Unbalanced Pieces and craves the best in life for herself and people around her.

Datuna Sulikashvili

The last and much anticipated show of Tbilisi Fashion Week was by Datuna Sulikashvili. His shows are always theatrical and this one was no exception. The music, the venue and visual effects were impressive along with the collection. But there's still a but for this show where unfortunately colour played little role. With the hint of turquoise and gold the collection would have been better if the designer worked on the amount of these colours in his work. It's always time that plays a big role in creating fashion - not only the timing, but also a fair amount of time spent on producing it. Pity that Georgian designers don't find sufficient time for their primary duty.

Ancient Tbilisi

(espadrilles Valentino, dress Rag&Bone, sweater Massimo Dutti, necklace Vintage, bag Proenza Schouler)

Abanotubani district is situated in the ancient part of Tbilisi and has best architecture in town. Though it's being reconstructed now you can still see the beauty of it.

Tying knots has become my favourite trick as you might have noticed. Try it yourself!

Tata Naka girls

(both are wearing Tata Naka dresses)

Some of you just don't know that Tata Naka has kid's wear called Shrunk. They just take some of their designs from main line an make them for children. Isn't it so cool?!

This little beauty and her mom know how to wear Tata Naka.

Lela Eloshvili for INFORMAL

During Tbilisi Fashion Week my eyes adored this INFORMAL cat eye sunglasses from 1950's. They're so retro and modern at the same time. Something else caught my eye apart from this sunshades. This print is a perfection to me. I'd totally wear it.

Altogether the collection was quite well done, but lacked focus and sophistication.

What do you think?

Aka Nanitashvili

Do you remember the designer of my favourite wedge slippers? I visited her show the other day. Aka's collection is very young and girly: lace, collars, prints and pastel colours. Something that sells well today.

But there's always a but for Georgian designers that work here. I just really want to see commercial art: new shapes, ideas and concepts. I want designers not to be afraid to express themselves, to dig deeper and really work hard.

I do believe it is possible!

TFW Day 1

Tbilisi Fashion Week is a very young and promising fellow. It has quite a different format from all the other known fashion weeks. Not for any reason whatsoever we should compare it to events held in such fashion capitals as New York, London, Paris or Milan. I'm pretty sure it just needs some time to gain experience and provide us with new talents.

Baimilov

You've always wondered what are my favourite places in Tbilisi, so I decided to share.

Let me introduce you to Lenka - owner of a brand new cafe flower shop. Baimilov is a cute conceptual place where one can eat and buy flowers in creative pots made out of glass, mirror and concrete. I fell in love with this place at first sight, pretty sure I'm not the only one.

Duomo di Milano

Duomo di Milano is one of the most striking places in the city. This cathedral took nearly six centuries to complete.

New type of inspiration for you my dear readers. Hope you enjoy it.
