One of my favourite platforms for fashion news is Buro 24/7. The other day I visited their office and met a lot of interesting people, who work there. As I always share everything I love with you, I thought why not introduce you to these inspiring girls.
You will meet a new girl every day and each one will tell you little about herself.
I landed the
job of a fashion editor partly due to my luck, partly due to my
determination. I’ll tell you why. The idea to come to Buro 24/7 came up
suddenly last September, right after my 1-month-stay in Vienna. It was
my very first trip without family experience, especially for such a
long time. I came back home with a feeling of fresh freedom, positive
energy and the belief that everything in the world is possible, if you
truly want it to happen. And what I wanted was to create, to be a part
of something huge. I've been reading Buro 24/7 the whole summer, what appealed to me was its novelty appealed. Probably that’s because its ambitions were in line with
mine. “Miroslava has gathered the team of professionals and young
talented people,” I read at the sight and thought “How on earth am I
worse?” I went for a risk. I put some of my photos and notes into a
single notebook and came to Buro 24/7 office without preliminary calls
or e-mails, out of the blue. I gave my portfolio and CV to the
editor-in-chief Masha Popova, which made her absolutely frightened —
that’s how importunate I was. So there was nothing to do with me but
offer the position of a music editor, exactly what the girls did. I
hardly knew something about music, but I managed to overcome the
barriers in 3 months.
I was the music editor for less than a year, but
deep down I always wanted to get another position — the one of a fashion
editor. The re-training process is something I don’t remember, as if I've
always worked in the sphere of fashion. One day I just sat down and
started to write about it — I moved step by step but then it
went faster. There’s so much I should learn, but I enjoy doing my job
really much. I am ready to work hard and get better. To tell the truth, I
know it was worth taking a risk back then — at least for all that I
have now. And the fact that everything in the whole world is possible,
if you really-really want it to happen, — that is what I believe
in more and more as I live my days.

Сегодня позицией редактора моды в Buro 24/7 я обязана частично везению, а
частично — своему упрямству. Объясню почему. Идея пойти работать в
Buro 24/7 у меня возникла в прошлом сентябре, после поездки в Вену на
целый месяц. Это было мое первое самостоятельное путешествие, к тому же
на такой долгий срок. Вернулась я оттуда заряженная сумасшедшей
энергетикой, ощущением свободы и верой в то, что на свете все возможно,
чего тебе на самом деле хочется. А хотелось творить, созидать,
участвовать в чем-то грандиозном. Buro 24/7 я читала все прошлое лето,
мне нравилась новизна этого проекта, его амбиции, наверное, совпадали с
моими. "Мирослава собрала команду из профессионалов и молодых
талантливых ребят," — прочитала я на сайте и подумала: "А я-то чем
хуже?" Решила рискнуть. Собрав в одну папку свои снимки, заметки и
какие-то пробные статьи, которые я раньше писала просто так, для себя,
пришла в офис Buro 24/7 — без предварительных звонков и писем, прямо с
улицы. Вручила шеф-редактору Маше Поповой свое портфолио и резюме,
безумно напугав ее своей назойливостью. Делать со мной было нечего, и
девочки предложили мне попробоваться в рубрику «Музыка». В музыке я не понимала почти ничего, но за три месяца влегкую
все наверстала.
Музыкальным редактором я пробыла почти год,
все это время лелея мечты о другой должности — редактора моды. Самого
процесса переквалификации я не помню, такое ощущение, что работала в
этой сфере всегда. Просто в какой-то момент я села и начала писать о
моде, сначала потихоньку, а потом все больше и больше. Мне еще многому
надо научиться. Но я безумно люблю то, чем сейчас занимаюсь, готова
работать дальше и становиться лучше. Сказать по секрету, ради всего
того, что я обрела за этот год, стоило рисковать. И в то, что в жизни
возможно все-все-все, чего ни пожелаешь, я с каждым днем все больше и
больше верю.
